Mental Wellbeing at Work User Journey Map (2021)
Objective: Visualize two journeys of an employee disclosing poor mental wellbeing at work, based upon 30 interviews with employees and 10 interviews with HR professionals and leaders from different sectors. One journey visualizes an employee who receives a safe and helpful response from an employer, and the other receives a well-meaning but unhelpful response. Ultimately, these maps were created to guide designers and organizations in the creation of their own workplace-based mental health interventions.
About the Project: “[In 2020] Common Ground and Studio Dojo conducted an independent youth mental health study, unpacking the journey of a young person discovering and seeking mental health support. The study surfaced valuable insights about how we can better understand and journey with people managing mental health conditions. Expanding on the study, Common Ground and Studio Dojo are embarking on an exciting cross-sector collaboration under the Good Design Research (GDR) initiative organised by DesignSingapore. Over the next few months, we will be bringing designers and organisations together to reimagine mental wellbeing at the workplace.”
